Extraordinary Lives Conference
April 22 @ 12:00 pm
DSAG has partnered with DSAMT to bring our members this exciting opportunity!
Please see the information from DSAMT below:
We (DSAMT) had planned to host a semi-annual conference on Down syndrome that brings together medical professionals and researchers on the cutting edge from across the United States. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we have had to turn it into a virtual conference. While we cannot replace the in-person exchange of ideas and fellowship that comes along with an in-person conference, we can and will still bring to our families, caregivers, educators, therapists, etc., the most knowledgeable experts in the country.
We are very excited to be hosting Extraordinary Lives – Virtual Conference on Down Syndrome. We are going to an online format in order to bring expert content by nationally-recognized and local speakers to you in your homes, including George Capone, M.D., Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Director of the Down Syndrome Clinic and Research Center and Medical Director of the Pediatric Feeding Disorders Program; Terri Couwenhoven (author of several puberty and dating books including Teaching Children With Down Syndrome About Their Bodies, Boundaries, And Sexuality); David Stein (author of Supporting Positive Behavior in Children and Teens with Down Syndrome: The Respond but Don’t React Method); Nicole Eredics (author of Inclusion in Action: Practical Strategies to Modify Your Curriculum); other speakers will have information about IEP’s, learning styles, communication, and other topics. More webinars will be added to the conference lineup in the following weeks, as we coordinate with other speakers’ schedules, so stay tuned.
The cost of the virtual conference is $20 per webinar up to $200 for registration to all events. BUT because DSAG understands how families are struggling this year, we are offering the virtual conference to all our DS families for FREE . You should have received an email with the with coupon code.
Registration is a 2 step process in order to meet our funders’ requirements. You will need to complete both steps in order to be registered. Remember to use the DSAG coupon code. Register soon, the first webinar will start on April 22nd!
The code is reusable to register for future webinar dates. Please email email@example.com with questions.
